What makes Live, Love, Snap Photography different?

So, what makes me any different? Our studio is dedicated to producing one of a kind art work for your family to cherish for years to come. Upon entering our studio you can expect to be treated with warmth, respect and dedication. Our goal is to set you at ease from the time you walk through our door, during your portrait session, throughout your selection of your portraits and finally pick up day. It is our attention to detail and five-star customer service that keeps our clients coming back for years to come. We want to be your photographers for life and share in your family’s memories for years to come. It is our desire to continually improve the experience you will have with us before, during, and after your session, as well as the beautiful boutique products we offer to our clients.

We continually strive to improve our photography skills by taking workshops, reading articles, and practicing. Practice makes perfect, right?

Your experience with Live, Love, Snap Photography begins with a phone call. During this call we will schedule you’re in home consultation. Why do we do this? It is simple; we want to see where you will be placing your beautiful portraits. This allows us the creativity to design “one of a kind art” for your walls. During your consultation we will discuss what your dream session is like, the colors you want in your session, and what your goal is from the session – whether you want an album, canvases, framed prints, etc. After your consultation, you’ll receive your digital welcome packet that includes how to prepare for your session and what to expect. After your session is my favorite part – your in-person session premiere. You will come back to the studio, and we will present you with a beautiful custom made slideshow of images set to music. Then, I am at your beck & call to help you choose the images you want displayed in your home. My goal is to have every client print their images – whether it is a huge canvas on the wall in the nursery, a cluster of framed images in your living room, loose gift prints, or a session album. I want to be there to help you get exactly what you are looking for.

Why not just hand over the digital files?

Today you could find any number of photographers who will just photograph your session and then hand over a disc of images so you can print them yourself. I’ve done it myself before, only to follow up with clients to find that they have not printed any of their pictures because they don’t know where to print them or what sizes to get, or they purely just don’t get around to it. Printing images is important – not only for you to enjoy immediately after your session, but also in the future. I love sitting down with my children and showing them albums of pictures from the years of our life as a family – and they love it too. I want to leave a legacy for my children and grandchildren, and I believe everyone should. So, I have taken the time to look into the many possibilities of where to print your images and what products I would personally love to have myself. This allows me to be able to customize session, and find products that I think you as clients would also enjoy. I’ve taken days to come up with a beautiful selection of prints, canvases, portrait boxes, framed prints, and more. I think you will love the selection!

In the world of photography the negatives are the original. And so to the portrait artist who creates them, digital negatives hold an incredibly high value. You see, the hours invested in your session are quite extensive. Actually capturing your images is only one step of our fabulous journey.

As artists, we know what you, our clients, receive is ultimately a result of our own artistic vision. And we work tirelessly to create not just an image, but an experience. However, we understand that these digital negatives also hold an incredibly high value to you….After all, this is your family!

First and foremost, I am a mommy. And I, myself, choose to invest in the digital negatives from each of our family portrait sessions for the same reasons that you want to. These images mean the world to me, because with each passing day, my little munchkins (and their little worlds) shift and change. In fact, we choose to archive our family’s digital negatives in a safety deposit box, because – truly – they are priceless.

As your photographer, I have chosen to offer you the opportunity to invest in your digital negatives. To help you enjoy both, art, keepsakes and the digital files I’ve created collections with significant savings!

Please inquire about digital archiving.

Newborn session information

When should I book my newborn session?

The best time to book your newborn session is while you are pregnant.

The ideal time to photograph your baby is between 4 – 10 days so they are nice and sleepy and to get those beautiful curly poses. We will set a tentative date based on your due date and then I will wait to hear from you when the baby is born.

Where are your sessions held?

Sessions are now held in my San Tan Valley, AZ studio. Not comfortable leaving the house when your baby is so little, or do you have restrictions that do not allow you to travel? Contact me about doing an in-home session (additional fees may apply).

Not sure about the posed photos? Let’s do a lifestyle session! I’ll come to you – no props, no fuss, just the beautiful love and interaction between parents and baby will be photographed. (additional fees may apply)

How long does a session take?

Posed sessions take from 2 – 4 hours to ensure we get the cutest poses while allowing for time for feedings and lots of cuddles with your precious little one.

Lifestyle sessions take approximately 60 – 90 minutes in your home.

What should I bring?

We are a full boutique studio so there is no need to bring anything with you other than yourself and BABY of course.  If you are not nursing a couple extra bottles will be helpful. Did I mention a pacifier is a must have. (just in case). I have plenty of props to choose from (blankets, baskets, wraps, bonnets and beanies, headbands and more) and newborns will be photographed in a soft wrap or naked to show off their beautiful little features. You are always welcome to bring any props or personal items to include in your session.

How do I prepare for a newborn session?

When you book with Live, Love, Snap Photography you will be sent our Newborn Welcome Guide which includes tips on how to prepare for both a posed session and a lifestyle session. Having baby dressed in easy to remove clothing that will not leave marks on their body is important. I highly recommend keeping your baby awake at least an hour before the session. Right before the session (when you arrive for a studio session, or just before I arrive for on location) a feeding is ideal. This allows the baby to be nice and full with the wonderful “milk coma” – keeping your baby in a deep sleep so we can get some great poses.

Maternity session information

When should I book my maternity session?

Maternity sessions should be scheduled between 30 – 36 weeks of pregnancy. (earlier if multiples) This allows us to get the best shots of your full baby bump.

We want to make sure that we capture all those precious images of your baby bump. Please make sure to not schedule anything for a block of 4 hours or you might not make it….
